Utilities and Housekeeping

Basic Functions and Scope of Responsibilities:

• Within the framework of Seyer Industries, Inc. policies and procedures, the Utilities/Housekeeping position will have the authority and responsibility to split time doing many different tasks and special projects, but will always go back to the main duties listed below. The mission of this job is to provide service to all areas while striving to improve the processes of the company.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Drop off and pick up mail from the post office daily.
• Clean restrooms twice a day.
• Empty all chip hoppers and trash cans in the shop daily.
• Run floor scrubber every Tuesday and Thursday.
• Empty trash and clean tables and microwave area daily after lunch in the main plant.
• Mop small kitchen floor in the lunchroom every other day.
• Clean floor in eating area of lunchroom weekly.
• Clean uniform room weekly.
• Clean steps weekly.
• Clean/sanitize all doorknobs daily.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S standards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience:

• Consistent and dependable attendance.
