Robotic Weld - Programmer/Operator

Seyer Industries is seeking a robotic weld cell programmer/operator.  The ideal candidate will have experience with setting up weld schedules within the robotic library and have a minimum of two years weld experience.

Overview

To produce welded assemblies per manufacturing plannings, blueprints, and associated aids, within tolerances and planning estimates.

 

Specific Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, plannings, sketches for set-up and production of welded assemblies.
  • Set-up weld schedules within the robotic library.
  • Set-up fixtures and other aids to facilitate operation.
  • Perform in process inspections on all parts.
  • Interface with Quality Assurance personnel regarding inspection criteria and results.
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding cycle times, and suggest changes to improve productivity and part accuracy.
  • Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System, and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (D1-9000, for example).

 

Specific Skills Required

  • Basic programming training for any robotic welding systems - Lincoln Systems experience would be a plus.
  • Ability to pass certification per MIL-STD-1595, Mig and/or Tig.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Math skills, minimum, high school arithmetic; trigonometry helpful.
  • General knowledge of welding machine maintenance.
  • Blueprint reading skills, and familiarity with weld symbols.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools.

 

This is NOT a mass  production job.
