Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprint and technical specifications, including customer datasets (MBD, DPD).
  • Review new and existing Seyer 2D drawings to ensure all customer requirements are fully defined and verify geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Review Seyer manufacturing routing to assure capture and flow down of quality requirements.
  • Perform RCCA/CI on areas of quality cost as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Review and submit non-conforming products to the customer material review board. Respond to customer MRB requests for additional information and execute customer dispositions.
  • Manage supplier quality by performing verification and validation techniques on incoming products and issue NCR/CAR/QN's to suppliers when appropriate.
  • Responsible for submitting any quality system escapes to customers (NOE's) as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Work with Quality Control and others as required to respond to any customer requests for information and review/disposition of RMA product.
  • Maintain and foster good communications and working relationships with all appropriate personnel to help assure quality assurance and meet the requirements of this role.
  • Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example).
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S, FOD and other standards as appropriate.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Assume other responsibilities as required/identified to help assure the quality of processes and procedures in Seyer Ind.

  • AS9100
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Epicor ERP
  • Operational Excellence
  • Verisurf experience
  • PCDMIS experience

 Skills/Qualifications:

  • SolidWorks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Consistent and dependable attendance.
