Duties:
- Plan and design network infrastructure to meet current and future organizational needs.
- Configure and deploy core and peripheral network devices and services for all facilities within organization.
- Scale network resources to accommodate organizational growth, multi-facility acquisitions, and changes in user demand.
- Evaluate, test, and deploy software and hardware updates, patches and upgrades to networking infrastructure.
- Stay updated on emerging tools, technologies and trends in network administration. Evaluate new technologies and recommend network upgrades or enhancements.
- Proactively monitor all network devices, services, and servers using a combination of tools to ensure high availability and SLA's.
- Manage network and Internet connectivity throughout the organization.
- Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes to ensure IT/OT systems have adequate resources to meet business growth.
- Ensure network operations comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards to meet strict security requirements and regulations of aerospace and defense industry including NIST 800-171, CMMC 2.0, ITAR, and FedRAMP compliance for cloud service providers.
- Implement controls and enforce network security policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and outages. Provide emergency on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Assist Helpdesk team members as needed to provide technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software and systems-related issues.
- Logging and tracking incidents and service requests from users in helpdesk ticketing system.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network-related procurement and support.
- Provide training to IT staff and end-users on network-related topics and best practices.
- Collaborate with management to define network strategies and priorities aligned with organizational goals.
- Participate in IT/OT operations meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Rigorously create and maintain documentation for all networking processes and procedures.
- Coordinate and collaborate with team members to meet department objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- Significant experience working with Windows server and network monitoring tools
- Minimum 5 years of Network Administration
- Minimum 4 years of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
- Minimum 5 years of firewall and security skills
- Data center management preferred
- VMWare experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of networking, including: TCP/IP, VLAN, Ethernet, switching, routing and routing protocols
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply them as needed.
- Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive internal information.
