Information Technology Systems Administrator

Performs various Information Technology activities, including interfacing with internal customers and departments to ensure the timely correction of issues and implementation of new technologies. A good understanding of Microsoft suite, with an emphasis in Microsoft Server is preferred.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist IT staff in day to day operations at Seyer Industries pertaining to Desktop support and other issues
• Maintain, update and service network hardware and wiring, utilizing outside help when needed
• Create, update and maintain documentation on IT infrastructure and systems
• Maintain good working relationship with production control, production personnel, and IT personnel to maintain uptime on CNC machines and monitoring systems
• Assist IT staff with server maintenance, both physical and Virtual.
• Maintain Phone systems and work with vendors for service and other tasks
• Assist IT staff with implementing new systems and technology as needed
• Assist IT staff with small tasks/field questions where possible
• Assist IT staff with Epicor ERP upgrades and documentation
• Assist in the Implementation and Maintenance of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
• Assist in the Implementation (Migration) and Maintenance of Office 365
• Assist IT staff in maintaining, updating and continually improving Seyer Security devices and systems
• Assist IT staff with maintaining and updating IT Systems documentation

General Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Server 2003-2012 and Active Directory
• Knowledge of Exchange server
• Knowledge of Networking concepts
• Experience with Windows and Apple OS and devices
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
• Must possess good organizational skills and be able to multitask
• Ability to learn on the job and research effectively
• Ability to work on several tasks or projects at one time
• Ability to deal with diversity and computer issues with positivity
• Possess leadership skills and ability to lead with a positive attitude
