Electrical Mechanical Assembler

We are currently seeking an Electrical Mechanical Assembler to join our growing workforce.  This is a first shift position working Monday thru Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Overtime is available, but not mandatory.  We offer competitive wages, practice 5S principles for efficiency and effectiveness in the shop, and work in a climate-controlled environment.

Job Purpose: Produces components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Duties:

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, planning's sketches for material prep and assembly operations.
  • Set-up simple fixtures, stops, and other aids to facilitate operation.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Perform in process inspections on parts and assemblies; verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S standards.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Assist in proof load and other testing operations, as required.
  • Interface with Quality Assurance personnel regarding inspection criteria and results.
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding cycle times and suggest changes to improve productivity and part accuracy.
  • Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS9100, for example).
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Skills/Qualifications:
  • Set up skills
  • Math skills minimum high school arithmetic
  • Blueprint reading skills
  • Familiarity with basic hand and inspection tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to Detail
  • Good and dependable attendance.
