Quality Control Manager
Responsibilities:
- Work with Quality Assurance and others as required to respond to any customer's requests for information and review/disposition of the returned product.
- Responsible for gathering applicable part-specific technical information and submit to customers for part discrepancy review (MRR's), as assigned.
- Use appropriate systemic problem identification, corrective and preventative action validations, and verifications, including but not limited to '5 Why' analysis and other techniques and tools as needed to help assure quality products and processes.
- Inspection plans, techniques, times, people, etc.
- Maintain and foster good communications and working relationships with all appropriate personnel to help assure quality control and meet the requirements of this role.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills are required.
- Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example).
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S, FOD and other standards as appropriate.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Assume other responsibilities as required/identified to help assure the quality of processes and procedures in Seyer Industries.
- Responsible for coordinating and controlling inspection workflow and inspections for the Quality Control area.
- Helping to determine and identify appropriate tools for quality control inspections and measurements.
- Responsible for determining acceptable criteria and training for inspectors and inspection tools to assure consistent, efficient and effective quality control.
- Act as a liaison to help assure appropriate resolution of quality control related activities and inspections while assuring quality and fitness for use for Seyer customers.
Degrees, areas of study, and/or licenses:
- AS9100
- Continuous Improvement
- Epicor ERP
- CMM, PCMM experience
Skills/Qualifications:
- Practical experience in aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methods.
- The ability to manage a diverse staff.
- Excellent organization skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple tasks at once and switch assignments easily
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Consistent and dependable attendance.
