IT Production Control Assistant

Job Purpose:

Performs various production control activities including reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer orders, coordinating production schedules and analyzing various reports to ensure efficient and effective progress is being made.  Ensures the flow of data and operations between or within departments. A thorough understanding of Microsoft suite, with an emphasis in Microsoft Access/VBA is preferred but not necessary. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Shop Floor
  • Keep Production Manager informed of critical issues which affect production schedule
    1. Progress/Issues of jobs
    2. Identify delays in Production; Machine issues, Quality issues, Planning/Programming issues, etc.
  • Work with Shop Supervisors on individual machine schedules & Part Queue
  • Review machine utilization and compile/analyze reports
  • Relay possible production delays and issues to Production Management
  • Monitor progress of Long Pulls and Late Jobs using Job Notifications/Follow Ups
• IT
  • Perform iPad implementations and reassignments as needed
  • Perform auditing of iPad usage
  • Create & Perform training for mobile devices and related software
  • Field help for questions and issues related to MES/Mobile devices
  • Perform Implementation of Shop/Machine Information Displays and continued monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Assist with MEMEX Utilization Software Implementations and information collection
  • Assist IT Admin with small tasks/field questions where possible
• Systems
  • Monitor machine utilization through MEMEX Software and reporting
  • Review/Correct Claiming Issues and train users
  • Assign ASM Snapshots to database

Skills/Qualifications:

• PC and Apple devices
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: (Word, Excel, Access)
• MS Access VBA programming a plus
• Must possess solid organizational skills and be able to multitask
• General familiarity with manufacturing operations
• Possess leadership skills and ability to lead with a positive attitude
